One Of Those Weeks At The Ranch Pen

oklahoma wind turbine with grazing cattle

Some of our cattle grazing around a wind turbine, which doesn’t have anything to do with this post, it’s just a pretty picture

This week has been one of those weeks. Gramps and I have been shocked and distressed by the death of a friend, and I also contracted a nasty stomach virus, which entails…er…puking the guts out and other things too unpleasant to mention.

Since most of my brains might have ended up in the trashcan along with the barf other stuff and I can’t think of anything to write, I’ll just share this video of the Peterson Brothers who remind me of my three sons as they were growing up. Our boys did the exact same chores except we didn’t have a feeding operation (fattening cattle in a feedlot situation), so we didn’t chop silage. This particular video has had over fourteen million views. Even if thirteen million of the views were from teenaged girls, that is still pretty bloomin’ impressive and hopefully does a lot of good getting out the message of where our food comes from.

As always, thanks for reading and until next time, God bless all y’all and keep you healthy.

  1. Danni, I’m so sorry you’ve been sick and leaking “stuff”. I’m even more sorry for the loss of your friend. You and Gramps are in my prayers. Feel better soon!!

PS: I love the picture you posted and the Peterson brothers–that made me smile.

    • Thanks, Anna. I never turn down prayers. Happy to report I’m feeling much better today.
The Peterson brothers’ parodies are fun. All of us out here in the sticks enjoy their videos. 🙂

Go ahead, make my day. Add your thoughts
